Vacheta avancorpo zip boots
Some of my most interesting work happens when the client is open to experimentation and gives me full creative freedom.
We set a general direction — and from there, I drift into unknown waters, not always knowing what my next move will be.
The vachetta avancorpo horse leather from Conceria Rocado responded beautifully to wet forming and dyeing.
I left the top edge of the boots untouched — just as it appeared on the hide after tanning.
I cast textured rods from .925 silver, then bent and soldered them into buckles.
This small detail made a big difference — no off-the-shelf buckle could’ve created the effect I had in mind.
The ribbed sole, built from stacked layers of leather and Vibram rubber, grounds the whole pair and amplifies the raw mood of the design.
Designed with anatomical intent, these boots follow the natural shape of the foot while maintaining an organic, raw silhouette.
Vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the leather using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal product.
Not currently in stock can be made to order.
Imperfections such as slightly uneven stitches or asymmetric contours are intentional and reflect the artisanal aesthetic of the piece. These are not flaws, but integral elements of its unique identity.
Each piece is made one at a time. Production is limited by the hands of a single maker and signed with a number and year.
Natural marks — subtle stains, light scratches, and developing patina — are inherent to the leather and evolve over time, adding depth and character.
With time, they age — just like the person who wears them.
